If you are searching for a nonprofit organization dedicated to building Catholic churches, Let's Build a Church is here to help bring faith and community support to life.
At Let’s Build a Church Inc., our mission is to build Catholic churches in areas of need so that the faithful can hear the word of God and receive the sacraments. We are equally committed to supporting children in need through educational and basic living assistance, planting seeds of hope for a better future.
Who We Are
We are a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization founded in Mission Viejo, California, led entirely by Catholic laypeople who are deeply committed to the mission of the Catholic Church. All donations go directly to building churches and supporting communities.
No director, officer, or member receives any financial compensation. This all-volunteer model ensures that your donations go directly to the communities we serve — not to overhead or salaries.
Our Model: Faith-Driven and Community-Led
To ensure that our work is grounded in true service and local need, we collaborate exclusively with Catholic clergy — priests and nuns — in identifying, planning, and executing each project. These clergy members act as our local partners and project facilitators. They oversee procurement, disbursement of funds, and project supervision, serving as faithful stewards of both resources and community trust.
Our mission has two parts.
Faith In Action. This program focuses on helping underprivileged communities build and finish their place of worship, ensuring they have a secure, safe, and comfortable environment to pray, be with God, and create a friendly and peaceful community. The Catholic church we are building for the community mirrors their simple lifestyle. The day laborers are from the community, providing them the opportunity to earn a living while building their church. Most of the communities we choose belong to the poorest of the poor, and helping them build their church not only gives them spiritual hope but also an opportunity to provide for their families.
Down and Up. This program is designed to give children in need a chance for a better life through educational and living assistance. Due to poverty, many children cannot attend school or perform well due to lack of school supplies, books, and transportation. As a domino effect, most of these children struggle to meet the qualifications for scholarship grants. The Down and Up program aims to support children who wish to go to school and are determined to succeed in life. We realize that focusing solely on scholastic performance would limit their educational opportunities. This initiative encourages children in areas of need to chase their dreams and become better individuals so they can also give back to their communities in the future.

Our mission statement began with a simple vision: to support Fr. Santiago in establishing a Catholic church for the Ensenada community. We recognized the need for a place of worship to serve the faithful and foster community support through our nonprofit organization.

In coordination with the Prison Ministry, led by Sr. Ann Acedera of the Missionary Sisters of the Poor of Christ, we are in the process of building a small chapel within the Catholic church framework. This initiative aims to foster community support for the inmates, bringing them closer to Christ, offering them hope, and renewing their faith, all through the efforts of our nonprofit organization.

This Catholic church is located in the western part of Samar, Philippines, and it is in need of some repairs and improvements. The household income in the area is below minimum, making it difficult for families to support their daily needs. Community support through a nonprofit organization could greatly assist in addressing these challenges.
